The fifth annual Capital One® Race for Kids in support of Boys and Girls Clubs of Winnipeg is set for Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Assiniboine Park.

The early bird deadline is coming up fast. Sign up at by midnight, March 1, 2016 and save $10 off the registration fee with the code HELPKIDS.

Register early for your chance to be entered into a valuable draw! Register today for a chance to be entered into a draw to win 2 WestJet flight vouchers to any WestJet destination! Each voucher is valid for a return trip for 2 people. All you have to do is register your team of four and raise the team minimum fundraising amount of $500 by midnight, March 1, 2016. Once all your team members complete the Race, they will be eligible to be entered in the draw!

Capital One® Race for Kids is a return to the best adventures of childhood, embracing the carefree days of being a kid and bonding with participants who challenge their skills to raise funds for all boys and girls to have the same opportunities.

In over 31 communities across Canada, teams of four will compete in a series of 10 themed checkpoint challenges in a race to the finish line. Checkpoints are designed to incorporate activities that focus the mind and challenge the body.

Prizes will be awarded for top fundraiser, most creative costumes and for teams finishing in first, second and third place. The top fundraiser prize is two return tickets to any scheduled WestJet destination!

“This fun event has been growing each year and will be even bigger in 2016,” says Heather Black, Director of Community Development for Boys and Girls Clubs of Winnipeg, “It’s a great opportunity to act like a kid again while supporting after-school programs for children and youth in our city.”
