Sodexo and Winnipeg Harvest held the 15th annual Feeding Our Future barbecue at Sister MacNamara School (460 Sargent Ave.) on Wed., Aug. 13. This year, they are expected to serve more than 140,000 free lunches during the summer months in 10 cities. According to a release, many inner-city kids "rely on free or subsidized lunches (during the school year) and therefore go hungry during the summer months." The barbecue fed kids from the Boys and Girls Club summer programs at Sister MacNamara School, Norquay School (132 Lusted Ave.), Freight House (4-200 Isabel St.), Gilbert Park (35 Gilbert Ave.), and Victor Mager School (81 Beliveau Ave.).
