Winnipeg, MB – The Winnipeg ICE will dedicate the game on Sunday, April 10th at 5:00 pm to BGC Winnipeg. The ICE will host the Medicine Hat Tigers at the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena, located on the University of Manitoba campus. 24-7 Intouch is a premium supporter of the BGC Winnipeg game night.

For over 40 years, BGC Winnipeg (formerly Boys and Girls Clubs of Winnipeg) has been providing a safe and supportive place where children can overcome barriers, build positive relationships, experience new opportunities and develop their confidence and personal skills.

“We are so excited about this partnership with the Winnipeg ICE and 24-7 Intouch. Many children we serve have the ability to succeed in life, they just need the equal opportunities to be supported. At BGC Winnipeg all our services are free for children and youth. I believe education is the quickest route to individual success,” said Ron Brown, BGC Winnipeg’s Winnipeg President & CEO.

24-7 Intouch have graciously donated 100 tickets to BGC Winnipeg for them to attend the game and have a fun night out.

“With the support from 24-7 Intouch we are excited about the opportunity to host BGC Winnipeg members at a Winnipeg ICE game,” said Courtney Gabrielle Manager of Community Engagement for the Winnipeg ICE. “Through this relationship with 24-7 Intouch and BGC Winnipeg, we can continue to provide positive experiences for youth in our community.”

ICE fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets using the special promo code BGC and a portion of proceeds from every ticket purchased using the promo code BGC will be donated to BGC Winnipeg.

BGC Winnipeg runs 10 after school learning programs during the school year twice a week to help children ages 6 to 12 with reading, writing, and math. In the summer month a 5 week free summer learning loss prevention program called Community School Investigator (CSI) runs from Mondays to Fridays for over 900 children. The programs give young people a safe supportive environment to learn, grow and have fun with the support of teen mentors and adults.
